Agia Paraskevi Women F.C<\/p>\n<\/div>

The Agia Paraskevi women's football team (Santa W.F.C), founded in 2009, achieved great successes from 2010 to 2024, with promotions to the A' National Division, Fair Play awards, and distinctions in national championships. Facing challenges, the team emerged as champions in the B division in the 2023-24 season with 16 wins in 16 games, and for the second time in its history, secured promotion to the A' National Division.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our Journey to Success<\/span><\/h1><\/div>\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

In 2009, after intensive efforts, the board ‘creates’ with young girls the Women’s Football Team of Agia Paraskevi!<\/p>

The women’s team participated in the 2010-2011 season, for the first time in its history, in the official Women’s Championships of the Hellenic Football Federation (HFF). After very good performances, the team managed to secure second place in the newly established Women’s Third National Division and finally achieved promotion in a playoff match in Patras, defeating AO ARTAS with a score of 3-1.<\/p>

The very next year, 2011-2012, the team, after a very tough and competitive championship, fails to stay in the B’ Division despite their good performances. The young girls gain experience and prepare with faith for the future!! The first difficult steps, after all, had already been taken.<\/p>

In the Women’s Third National Division, during the 2012-2013 season, the team performed exceptionally well but ultimately finished in second place in the championship. In the same year, our team won first place in the women’s tournament in Methana, Argolis, organized by the Municipality of Argolis under the auspices of UEFA (UEFA Grassroots programme) and the HFF.<\/p>

Success comes in the next competitive season, 2013-2014, when Agia Paraskevi initially wins first place in the ‘MIMIS PAPAIOANNOU’ youth tournament in Chalkida, organized under the auspices of the ‘Stavros Niarchos Foundation’. Subsequently, after a promotion playoff match against Olympiada Ymittou, they secure a 2-0 victory, winning their first championship in their history and simultaneously achieving their second promotion to the B’ National Division in the four years of their competitive history.<\/p>

The next football season, 2014-2015, finds the Agia Paraskevi team in second place in the B’ National Division championship after impressive results in the second round, where they remained unbeaten.<\/p>

The 2015-2016 football season does not bring the long-awaited title, and the team finishes in third place in the championship.<\/p>

In the 2017-2018 football season, Agia Paraskevi achieves the great ‘dream,’ winning the championship in the B’ National Division undefeated and simultaneously earning promotion for the first time in its history to the A’ National Division! Through amazing performances, achieving 13 wins and 1 draw, they gathered 40 points out of the 42 available, secured big and clear scores against all their opponents, and deservedly won the championship title!<\/p>

At this point, it is worth mentioning perhaps the greatest title a team can achieve. We refer to the Fair Play award, with which our women’s team was honored at the 36th PSAPP awards ceremony in 2017. Specifically, in 2017, the women’s football team won 3-1 against AO Chania, but the spotlight was stolen by the incredible display of sportsmanship by our players who deliberately missed a non-existent penalty awarded to them. This act was discussed on all sports sites and shows, bringing us three awards: from PSAPP, the sports site Gazzetta, and the Municipality of Agia Paraskevi.<\/p>

In the 2018-2019 football season, our women’s team participates in the A’ National Division championship. They face teams such as PAOK, ARIS, GIANNENA, and TRIKALA, striving to play beautiful and creative football. Despite some good performances, the team struggles to stay in the division, facing stronger opponents and is relegated to the B’ National Division.<\/p>

In the 2019-2020 football season, our women’s team participates and leads in the B’ National Division championship, with the sole aim of returning to the A’ National Division.<\/p>

These successes, along with the overall development of women’s football in Greece, have brought new girls to Santa. As a result, our team has created youth sections for younger girls in recent years. Specifically, the Junior and Youth sections have been established. The sole aim is to properly prepare them to join the women’s team in the future.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
